frequently asked questions about our personalized tours in Prince Edward County
Can I choose where we go?
Prior to the tour we will discuss what you and your group are interested in and come prepared with lots of great recommendations based on that. You can pick and choose as the tour proceeds, based on the group’s mood. We like to stay as flexible as possible to maximize your enjoyment.
Do you only do wine tours?
Prince Edward County is great for wine tours but also has many breweries, cideries, distilleries and other attractions so we can mix it up. If a brewery tour is your thing, there are certainly enough great breweries in the County that you could spend a day just doing beer tastings! The same is true for cider - in fact a new cidery, Stock+Row, opened near to us in 2021. How lucky are we?
Do tours run all year round?
We’re for sure available April through October. During the other months it varies. When you begin your booking, a calendar will show when we are available.
Every season offers something different in the County. Lots of wineries and breweries remain open through the winter.
Where do I get picked up and dropped off?
You can be picked up and dropped off wherever you are staying in the County. If you have a special request, let’s discuss. For instance, if you want to be dropped off at a restaurant for dinner after the tour, we can do that. Or, if you our outside the County, we can chat about it.
Is a deposit required? What if I decide to cancel?
A 30% deposit is required at the time of booking. It is refundable minus a $50 administration fee if cancelled more than 7 days before the tour. If cancelled within 7 days of the tour it is non-refundable.
If the tour is canceled by us for any reason then the payment is fully refundable and there is no administration fee.
What methods of payment do you accept?
The deposit is paid using credit card. The balance can be paid at the end of the tour with cash or debit card. If you’re thinking of tipping, cash is great!
What happens if it rains or snows?
Tours are held rain, shine, or snow. In the event of inclement weather resulting in unsafe driving conditions or businesses shutting down, then unfortunately tours will be cancelled that day. Please check the weather conditions for your day of your tour and dress appropriately.
What if I am late for my tour?
If you will be late for your tour, please contact us as soon as possible so that we may make arrangements to accommodate if we can. In some cases, lateness may affect the length of the tour.
What should I bring on my tour?
Guests are advised to wear comfortable shoes and clothing and to bring along any possessions such as a camera, water bottle, or sunscreen in a purse or small bag. During the colder months we have blankets if needed! Cash, debit, or credit are required for guests wishing to make purchases during the tour.
Do you have accommodations for people with physical disabilities?
Our VW Atlas SUVs don’t have any specific accommodations for people with physical disabilities.
Am I able to bring an infant or child with me on the tour?
If your group includes children let’s be sure to discuss to make sure the tour is appropriate for them.
Am I able to bring my pet with me on the tour?
We had a lovely golden doodle named Casey (2010-2023) so we know and love dogs. We’re thrilled to see people’s dogs on tour but we should chat about it first to make sure there is enough room based on the number of people and size of your dog.
